10 February 2021 saw the Sports Industry 5.0. Technologies and the Global
Market Conference housed by Delovaya Rossiya, with over 5000 entrepreneurs in attendance.
The Challenge Moscow Organizing Committee, together with the Russian Triathlon Federation,
presented the World Triathlon Challenge Series Stage, starting on 18 July 2021 in Moscow. Over
5,500 triathletes and over 100,000 spectators are expected to participate.
Opening the session, Yelena Krivenkova, Challenge Moscow Organizing Committee Head,
stated Moscow was looking forward to the Challenge, preparing to show a high level of national
hospitality and organizing the event the best way possible.
Andrey Selsky, the Russian Federation Vice- Minister of Sports, spoke about helping
the Challenge team to create a digital platform for triathletes to provide easy communication and
receive race details in real-time.
Aleksey Voyevoda, a two-time Olympic Champion and a State Duma deputy, said professional
and amateur sports activities should be considered equally important. Sports can unite all nations
of the world. He also expressed full support of the Challenge Moscow Event on 18 July 2021.
Ksenia Shoigu, Triathlon Federation President, noted the importance of promoting triathlon
everywhere and congratulated Challenge on its July start in Moscow.
Yekaterina Ledokol, Meeting Moderator, Challenge Moscow Executive Committee Head, and
Ledokol Investment Club Founder, said, ‘We are looking forward to the Challenge and have
already prepared an active programme for the whole family: Challenge Middle Distance,
Challenge Supersprint, Men’s, Women’s, and Children’s Running, as well as an entertainment
programme for guests’.
